WE ARE EXCITED TO OFFER SPANISH CLUB THIS FALL!

Studies have shown that learning a 2nd language aides students in other academic areas as well as enhancing creativity & problem solving skills.  Our immersion style Spanish Club  includes interactive language lessons incorporating games, music, activities, singing and crafts.   We’ll learn introductory phrases and vocabulary as well as learn vocabulary related to our theme 

Sessions last between 8-12 weeks and run throughout the school year October – June.  

Club meets weekly. For grades K - 5

Fall Theme:

Fly High with the Toucan!

Ever wondered where toucans live, what makes their beaks so colorful, or how they spend their days in the rainforest? Get ready to spread your wings! Students will soar into the vibrant world of toucans, learning all about their homes in the jungles of Latin America, their favorite foods, and the amazing adaptations that help them thrive. Along the way, they’ll pick up new Spanish vocabulary and phrases, all centered around our colorful rainforest theme.

But that’s just the start! We’ll explore the toucan’s life cycle, discover fun facts about their social habits, and even listen to the sounds they make deep in the jungle. As the season unfolds, we’ll celebrate Fall holidays from both the USA and Latin America, connecting our animal theme to rich cultural traditions.

Students will also practice their colors and numbers, counting from 1–20 (or even higher!). To bring the rainforest to life, we’ll create vibrant toucan-inspired crafts.

And the adventure doesn’t stop in the classroom! Each student will receive a special notebook filled with learning materials and fun activities to enjoy at home, so the excitement of learning can continue after class.

SCHEDULE:

• Students get dismissed from Homeroom class
• We meet and take attendance
• Talk about their day - share
• Lesson
• Game/ activity
• Craft
• Meet parent/guardian in the lobby at 4:40pm for dismissal
