Studies have shown that learning a 2nd language aides students in other academic areas as well as enhancing creativity & problem solving skills.
Our immersion style Spanish Club includes interactive language lessons incorporating games, music, activities, singing and crafts. We’ll learn introductory phrases and vocabulary as well as learn vocabulary related to our theme
Sessions last between 8-12 weeks and run throughout the school year September – June.
Club meets weekly. For grades K - 3.
SPRING THEME
MI FAMILIA | MY FAMILY : Who are the members of your family? What does your family tree look like? We'll introduce and review introductory phrases and vocabulary as well as phrases related to our theme, la familia | the family. Students will learn how to talk about members of their family and what they like to do together and how they celebrate. What holidays do we celebrate with family? We'll discuss Winter & Spring holidays here in the USA and in Latin America. They'll also learn colors and numbers 1-20( we'll get to 30 this session). We'll celebrate Winter and Spring by making a variety of Winter and Spring crafts. Each student will also each receive a notebook with educational materials.
SCHEDULE:
COVID protocols: We will follow CDC guidelines. Masks required. Staff will wear CLEAR masks and shields. Students will be able to see the instructors face and mouth.

Spanish Exploradores was a great experience for my daughter. Being that she is only 5, I was skeptical about enrolling her into the program. To my surprise my daughter truly enjoyed learning the fundamentals of Spanish. Erika has a special way of engaging her students to want to learn. My daughter looked forward to participating in her Spanish Exploradores class every Thursday. When my daughter returned home, she would independently pull out her binder to review with me, what she had learned. This class is very beneficial if your looking for your child to learn a second language. Erika is an amazing instructor; you will not be disappointed!!!
