WE ARE EXCITED TO OFFER HERITAGE SPEAKERS SPANISH CLUB THIS Spring!
Do you speak Spanish at home? This is an immersion class for students of native Spanish speakers or students who have already been in a full immersion setting.
¿Habla usted Español en casa? Nuestro club de Español es para niños hispanohablantes o niños que han tenido la experiencia de inmersión.

Studies have shown that learning a 2nd language aids students in other academic areas, as well as enhancing creativity & problem-solving skills.
Our immersion Spanish Club includes interactive language lessons incorporating games, music, activities, singing and crafts. We’ll learn phrases and vocabulary as well as learn vocabulary related to our theme
Sessions last between 8-12 weeks and run throughout the school year October – June.
Club meets weekly. For grades 1 - 5.
SPRING THEME:
Step into Spring with the Alpaca!
Ever wondered where alpacas live, how they help people, or why their fur is so soft? Lace up your boots for a trip to the Andes! Students will explore the gentle world of alpacas, learning about their homes in the mountains of Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador, their favorite foods, and how people have cared for them for centuries. Along the way, they’ll gain new Spanish vocabulary and phrases inspired by our Andean animal theme.
But that’s just the start! We’ll discover the alpaca’s life cycle, explore its social habits in herds, and learn fun facts about these friendly animals. We’ll connect our studies to Spring celebrations in both the USA and Latin America, discovering the traditions that make the season unique.
Students will practice numbers and colors, using them to describe their alpaca crafts, which will be soft, fluffy, and full of personality.
And learning won’t stop there! Each student will receive a special notebook filled with learning materials and activities to continue their alpaca adventures at home.

Spanish Exploradores was a great experience for my daughter. Being that she is only 5, I was skeptical about enrolling her into the program. To my surprise my daughter truly enjoyed learning the fundamentals of Spanish. Erika has a special way of engaging her students to want to learn. My daughter looked forward to participating in her Spanish Exploradores class every Thursday. When my daughter returned home, she would independently pull out her binder to review with me, what she had learned. This class is very beneficial if your looking for your child to learn a second language. Erika is an amazing instructor; you will not be disappointed!!!
