We believe each child is unique and prioritize connecting with every student. Our virtual programs build community & incorporate language learning with music, games, activities and crafts. Even though it's virtual, we get them moving and interacting with each other and the teacher.
Learning a second language through our immersion style methodology encourages students to use comprehension skills, which benefits the developing young mind.
SPRING THEME:
ALL ABOUT ME: How do you spend your free time ? What is your favorite subject ? How do you say my eyes are brown in Spanish ? We'll introduce and review introductory phrases and vocabulary as well as phrases related to our theme, all about me. Students will learn how to talk about things they like to eat and their favorite things to do. They'll also learn colors and numbers 1-30. We'll celebrate Winter/Spring by making a variety of Winter/Spring crafts. Each students will also each receive a notebook with educational materials.

* K – 5th grade
* Music, dancing, activities, games, singing and a craft.
* Colors, numbers, introductory vocabulary and basic sentences.
* Small class sizes. (limited to 12 families)
* Learning materials will be sent weekly via email for families to print.

Erika does a great job of meeting kids where they are at (including accommodating the limitations of the very young ones), choosing easy and enjoyable crafts, and making it fun to learn Spanish! Due to the coronavirus pandemic, she had to make several adjustments (moving to an outdoor location, getting special clear masks so the kids can still see her speaking, making separate craft kits for each child, etc.), but she made it all work smoothly and I felt confident in the safety of the class.

Our son, Matthew, had an amazing time with Spanish Exploradores! Erika made all of the classes so fun and inviting, even when we had to move to Zoom due to COVID-19. Matthew loves using his Spanish words and reading in Spanish. This has opened a whole new world for him! My 4 year old loves Spanish Exploradores! She's been in the class for 3 months and frequently uses spanish now to count, name colors, and greet people. The class is fun and Senora Erika is very welcoming and engaging with all the kids in class.
